Human Systems Integration Courses

Human System Integratation for Military Vehicles (Overview)

This one-day introductory, training course provides participants with a broad overview of applied human factors engineering used in the design of modern fighting and logistic vehicles.  Participants are introduced to the latest thinking concerning human systems integration (HSI) and introduced to key information about human factors engineering requirements, tools and techniques. A variety of short case studies are used to provide participants with a clear understanding of what can go wrong without HSI and how good HSI leads to much improved vehicle system operational performance.  Further details on the course are available in the Course Outline and Timetable.

Human System Integratation for Military Vehicles (Intermediate)

This three-day training course provides participants with essential knowledge and understanding of applied human factors engineering used in the design of modern fighting and logistic vehicles.  Participants are introduced to the latest thinking concerning human systems integration (HSI) and learn essential knowledge about human factors engineering requirements, tools and techniques. Much of the training focuses on the limitations and capabilities of humans and how and why these issues are so important in the effective design of modern military vehicles. Case studies and workshops are used to provide participants with a clear understanding of what can go wrong and how good HSI leads to much improved vehicle system operational performance. Further details on the course are available in the Course Outline and Timetable.

Human System Integratation for Military Vehicles (Advanced)

This five-day intensive, training course provides participants with essential knowledge and understanding of applied human factors engineering used in the design of modern fighting and logistic vehicles. Case studies are used to provide participants with a clear understanding of what can go wrong without HSI and how good HSI leads to much improved vehicle system operational performance. The training includes a number of focussed workshops where participants (working in groups) apply knowledge learnt from the case studies.  Further details on the course are available in the Course Outline and Timetable.
